Good afternoon,

At the 2019 EWB-USA National Conference in Pittsburgh this weekend, our chapter gained a wealth of knowledge about a multitude of EWB related topics from Guatemala cardamom dryers to the future of EWB-USA's mission. Eight members of our chapter dedicated their Veteran's Day weekend to EWB, and four students presented their original work through a presentation and poster session. Two students presented the Panama Water Supply Project through a poster session on Friday evening, while two other students led a breakout session about best practices for when communication issues arise during projects.

I am also pleased to announce that our chapter was selected for the 2019 Premier Chapter Award from EWB-USA. This award recognizes one student chapter each year who exemplifies EWB-USA's mission through efficient organization, effective fundraising, and an engaged student body. We are extremely grateful for this award and proud of our students who have worked hard over the past year to contribute to our partner communities in Guatemala, Panama, and Uganda. To these students, and to the students on the executive board who make our Chapter continue to flourish, I thank you.

And of course, none of this would be possible without our generous donors. Your support for our chapter over the years has impacted the lives of countless community members and students alike; we appreciate your continued support. If you would like to help us continue our chapter's work, please visit our website  to donate or reach out to our Vice President of Development, Matt Burmeister, to find other ways you can help.
