Subject: EWB December Southeast Region Key Take-aways
Dear Sali,
I wanted to share a few key takeaways from the Southeast Regional Steering Committee call on December 28th. If you could share the below information with your team, I would be most grateful:
1. Feedback on Week of Celebration and Learning:
We are eager to hear feedback on the national annual virtual conference in November. Please encourage your members to provide feedback here.
2. Central America Hurricane Relief:
o EWB’s work in the region is even more important than ever, as there has been significant damage to infrastructure.
o Very important that we follow up to check on the status of completed infrastructure and to support repairs remotely if they are needed.
o Capturing lessons learned from damage assessments:
i. Open Project - Report Lessons Learned
ii. Closed Project - Create Long Term Monitoring Record
o Near Term Financial Support to Enact Repairs:
. Country offices coordinating financial support with local NGO partners to complete repairs, especially to systems EWB has installed.
i. Chapters can transfer funds to the EWB-Guatemala Country Office and designate funds to be used to enact repairs: How To Submit a Country Office Wire Request
I look forward to our next check-in. Please of course also feel free to reach out anytime prior.
Sincerely,
--
