Subject: EWB February Southeast Region Key Take-aways
Hi Sali,
Hope you are having a great start to your week.
I wanted to share a few key takeaways from the Southeast Regional Steering Committee call on February 22. If you could share the below information with your team, I would be most grateful:
1. Puerto Rico project partnerships:
The Puerto Rico professional chapter is eager to explore partnerships on projects there with other chapters in the Southeast region that may have available capacity at this time due to restricted travel to ICP partner communities during the pandemic. Please reach out to EWB-USA’s Puerto Rico representative, Edgardo Diaz Santiago (pr.st...@regions-ewb-usa.org) to further explore project partnership opportunities.
2. Career development workshops:
FL State Reps are working with volunteers at Pratt & Whitney to present career development workshops tailored to EWB-USA chapters. The workshops can range from resume writing, interviewing, or networking help while utilizing your EWB experience. Email fl.st...@regions-ewb-usa.org for additional information or interest in setting up a workshop.
3. 2021 Southeast Region Virtual Conference planning:
We are looking to build a team to help plan a Southeast Region virtual conference this summer. Please let us know if anyone in your chapter might be interested in joining the planning team! Please email Max Fite (sc.st...@regions-ewb-usa.org).
4. Tracking long-term project success:
EWB-USA is looking to help chapters track the long-term success of their projects. Please consider taking a look back at the impact of your chapter’s previously completed projects. Added info here: https://ewb-usa.force.com/VolunteerVillage/s/article/ICP-Project-Long-Term-Monitoring
I look forward to our next check-in. Please of course also feel free to reach out anytime prior.
Sincerely,
--
