Hi all, last meeting on Wednesday attended : Diana , Ron, Re’em, Alon, Tal, Sahar
During the meeting we describe the communication we have with Amer, Raida, Teenagers and the community. We then worked in 2 groups for community plans and technical plans.
On the tech side. We wrote the timely maintenance activities that the teenagers are expected to do. Ron will make a check list for them, which will be translated and laminated. Tal will make a system equipment box for all the stuff related to the system at the kindergarten. In the coming visit we will go over the use of the thermometers with the teenagers, we need computers for next meeting, and please all install the thermometers software on your computers. Here is a link for it (RC-5): http://www.elitech.uk.com/software.html Diana will check if the computer that one of the teenagers has is staisenery or laptop and do they have reliable internet connection. We all will go over how to use the thermometers by Su next meeting.
Rudri will collect the boxes for the thermometers from Aviv's office and think how we put a lock on it or any other modulation to make it ideal for the thermometers. I will visit the hardware store to consult and find good sealing method for the wood frame-plexiglass interface.
On the community side, by Diana:
1. In the next meeting we will be meeting with Raida, to talk about everything and make the complete process clear to her (all that's going on in the kindergarten) and
define our long-term goals.
2. Doing a FACE TO FACE Surveys
The plan is to be divided, with the help of the students from Abu-Ashiba (two of whom we already met on the last visit), to get into people's houses in the community, and develop a conversation based on some main questions that we need to start with. Diana, Alon and Sahar are working on this kind of survey.
3. We will prepare magnetic "business cards", so that the people of the village will keep something from us, and will be able to consider contacting us with any issue that relates to our work there. WHO VOLUNTEERS TO DESIGN THE CARD?
2. Meeting with Meyron next week! (to those who don't know him, one of the oldest volunteers that started the work in the community). This meeting will provide us with tools to start getting more involved in the community. Alon will let us know exactly about the final date when Meyron can join us.
3. Ajeec – Shirley still needs to update us about the process with Ajeec
Main plans for next week's meeting:
We will be working on a problem tree, that will teach us more about the reasons for our problematic relationship with the community, hopefully after this step we'll be able to make a solution tree. COME WITH ENERGY!
