Meeting summery 21/05/18

Ron, Su, Rudri , Sahar, Ido, Yotam, Re'em
At the meeting we talked about the insulation ideas. We decided on an experiment to check the relative efficiency of 3 different option that are most fissable as we see it. Mud, Kalkar and paper boards. Rudri is checking with a Lalibela group member about insulating mud and with prop. Mark about what kind of mud and rock the village area have. Yotam is planning the paper boards experiment. Re'em is changing where to get Kalkar for the experiment and where we can get used Kalkar. Ido and Su are planning the comparative experiment - send to Matteo for consulting.
Yotam met with a thermal building expert (prop. Rachel) and we understand from her that for summer extra insulation can be more of a problem then a solution, there for we are checking on extracting hot air with a chimney. Yotam and Ido are researching about solar chimney. Re'em and Rudri are checking with Makele and Lalibela groups respectfully about the chimneys they are planning. Yotam suggested a quick idea to help with the summer heat in the kindergarten, which is coating the roof with reflective aluminum foil, Re'em is checking prices.
We need to set a lab day for making the mud and paper boards, and a lab day for conducting the experiment. Also Avigail the new global engineering manager has a lot of experience with green building and would love to share some of her knowledge with us, also need to be set.
On the community side, Ramadan has started. Which postpone our visit. Sahar is doing a great job keeping in touch with Amer and Raida. We are starting to plan the activities with the youth group in collaboration with Ajeek, Sahar will talk to Oded. Su came up with a very cool idea of a long term activity for the youth group, building a ride/game thing that conserve energy. Send ideas to Su . Also for during the year content for the youth group Diana and/or Sahar will talk to נוער שוחר מדע. Ron and Diana will think (with help from Aviv) about content from EDC course that can be adapted for the youth group. We finally finished our logo design, maybe there will be small changes because it's need to be on a shirt, but here it is, Tnx to everyone that helped.
