Hi All,

I just posted a draft of the potential donor sendout. Please check it
out and let me know what changes/additions I should make. I just need
Stacy's email, and for Josh to make my claims true by making it easy
to donate online and updating the project status on the Ramah page
etc...

Also, from our meeting last Thursday, it became clear that we need to
hash out a clear and workable design first and foremost, so we're
tentatively planning a trip up to S. Fe to consult with Gordon
Woodcock about the design. If you are interested in going, let me
know and I will keep you posted.

Hi all,

Gordon responded and said that Teus or Thurs of next week will work.
I opted for Thursday, so looking at the Rail Runner schedule, it looks
like the best agenda will be to leave ABQ from downtown station at
4:18 PM to arrive at S. Fe at 6:00. From there, we'll walk to the
Plaza and talk over the design plans over a drink. I plan to take the
9:30 return trip to ABQ, but of course you are welcome to come and go
as you please. All are invited and you can either meet us at the ABQ
station at 4:15 or just call me at 210-385-5009.

Hope to see you there.

Just a reminder, the trip to S.Fe on Thursday is tentative for now,
pending Gordon's schedule. Assume that this is correct unless I tell
you that it has changed.

Also, for those who attended the previous Ramah meeting and were
planning to attend the next, it will be postponed until further
notice. (I want to see what we learn from the meeting with Gordon
before we meet again).

Hi Ramah Team
Way to make some progress! A few things about the letter and
fundraising
-Definitely personalize each one so that it is addressed "Dear Mr.
Smith" rather than Potential Donor. It's a little bit of a pain and
we forgot on some of our earlier letters, but do it.
-I have uploaded a new one with Kacey's information (all of which
should be on the website now, but just in case) as well as a few
little changes.
-Please make sure that all of the contacts that you are working with
are listed on the EWB UNM Fundraising Contacts spreadsheet. There is
now a column for which project the donor is targeted. You should have
no trouble finding donors that are very specific to Ramah (that is,
that have an interest in furthering native infrastructure, sustainable
building, and solar). The big companies that don't have a particular
association with either Ramah or Bolivia should be donating into a
general fund. We are going to try to keep track of all of the
donations (who secured the donation and what project it is for).
-Look over the "EWB Fundraising Letter" that the Bolivia team worked
on.

Cool. I look forward to hearing how the meeting with Gordon goes.

The meeting in Santa Fe will take place as planned. We'll meet at the
dwntwn Railrunner station tomorrow, Thursday, to take the 4:18 train.
I will be bringing all the necessary information so you can just show
up with your curious little selves and we'll be on our way.

See you there!

Hi all,

Yesterday, Laura and I went to Santa Fe to meet with Gordon to discuss
some ideas about our design. It had become clear to us at the last
meeting that we need to get our design completed before we can really
push for funding/donations. We came up with something that will
definately fill the need for the Hogaan and keep things simple and low
budget. Since we did just brainstorm and come up with a general
design, we'll need to meet to go over the calculations and specifics
etc... The last meeting was scheduled for a Wednesday at 5:00, so
lets to that again. Wednesday, June 16 at Frontier at 5:00. Between
now and then I will post the preliminary design sketches so we can all
come to the meeting prepared.

Let me know if you have any questions.
