A major goal of the EWB leadership this year has been to improve
access to communication and information for the entire chapter
membership, to give all participants equal access to discussions and
decision making, as well as to move the massive amounts of project
information we have in our heads and on our computers to a central,
accessible location. To that end, we've implemented a couple of online
tools at our website, ewbpsu.org.

The first is our new discussion forum (http://forum.ewbpsu.org/). By
moving the constant discussions we have from our email to the
discussion forum, we're giving all members the opportunity to
contribute to those discussions and know what's going on in the
chapter as it happens, rather than after the fact. It also allows
members to participate in our projects even if they have a conflict
with the project meeting times. We're making a concerted effort to use
the discussion forum as much as possible, so don't hesitate to post
information or questions. Signing up is easy -- pick a user name and
password, and you get instant access.

The second tool is our wiki (http://wiki.ewbpsu.org/). A wiki is a
collaboration tool that allows all members to add or change
information. Right now the information there is pretty thin, but over
time we plan to flesh it out and make it an excellent resource for our
projects and our other activities. It supports attachments, allowing
us to store our documents there instead of on our computers, and it
saves every revision of every page, meaning that information is never
lost. Anyone can view it, but if you want to participate, you need to
sign up. It's just as easy as the forum -- pick a user name, password,
and you get instant access.

There are now links to both of these tools on our main website,
ewbpsu.org. If you have any questions or comments, don't hesitate to
start a discussion at the forum or to contact us at
con...@ewbpsu.org.

Thanks,
Chad Norvell
EWB-PSU President
