It was a success!!
The negative is that there were only 7 people there total; 3 students & 4 professionals. Not going to lie, I felt a bit embarrassed. Your comments are welcome as to how we can get more people to attend these seminars.
However, the feedback that I received from those that were there was very positive. There was a representative from Goulds & a local sales engineer from Total Equipment Company. The presentation had a lot of information but there were useful points to capture and they had brought demo’s in to help explain. The greatest benefit came when we sat them down and discussed the problem set for Ecuador. Their experience showed and they were able to make positive suggestions to help with our design. We will be communicating with them to determine the best fit for the Ecuador project. A big step was made and it was obvious that we need to engage senior level engineers on these projects.
So I encourage any of you to speak with your fellow senior level employees to engage them on both the Mali and Ecuador projects through a technical seminar.
