Update from Ecuador!

Hello, Everyone.

 

I hope your week is off to a great start.  Earlier today, Uven called me from Quito, Ecuador, to let me know that the travel team (Elsy, Mark, Andy, Cori, and Uven) made it to Quito smoothly.  They were picked up from the airport by Remigio Galarraga, a professor in civil and environmental engineering at the Escuela Politecnica Nacional in Quito.  After picking the group up, Remigio drove them around the city for a bit before dropping them off at the hostel that the group is staying at, which Uven said is one of the nicest he's ever seen.  The group is thrilled to be in such a beautiful city.

 

Our professional mentor, Erick, will be joining the group on Tuesday.

 

I'm sure the rest of their trip is going to be an incredible experience.  They will definitely have a lot of stories, pictures, video, and, most importantly, data to share with us when they return!
