Dear EVTucson:

We are looking for some Electric Vehicle drivers to give mobility challenged people a lift from either of two parking lots to the No Kings Day Rally at Reid Park, or back from Reid Park to the parking lots. You have your choice of two 2 hour shifts from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, or 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

If you would like to give people rides in, and answer questions about your EV, please text me at 520-302-4636. Please indicate whether you would like to do the morning or afternoon shift.

You can see details of the event at:
https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/919739/

Regards,

Robert Bulechek

Thanks, Robert . . .

I'm pleased to see Tucson's EV community being rallied to fill this role. Here in the southeast corner of the state, No Kings organizers in Bisbee, Sierra Vista and Douglas started strategizing earlier this year on how to stage our events so they wouldn't overlap each other. The widely-distributed attached flier gives the times and locations. I'll be there for the 9AM-11AM No Kings 3.0 in Bisbee. Many of our friends will continue onto the other two participating cities to fill out the day.

By chance, though, a rather interesting renewable energy transportation event is also scheduled here for the 28th. Following our morning rally, I'll be attending Bisbee Bikeways' Pedal Power Fest, where humans on stationary cycle generators will produce electricity to amplify live music well past sundown . . .

Bisbee Bikeways is slated to soon begin building much needed bicycling and pedestrian access infrastructure here (details elsewhere on the above linked website).

I'll be at the Pedal Power Fest with a simple solar/battery display, along with staff from the Bisbee Science Museum. We're co-producing Bisbee Earth Day 2026 on April 22, which will include what might be the first formal EV display of its kind in this area. Details soon, but we're already a dot on the international Earth Day dot Org map . . .
