Drive Electric AZ is hosting a Meetup on August 17, 2025 which will start at San Tan Ford in   Gilbert including test rides on Ford E-Bikes, then proceed to meet at the Tesla Superchargers on River Rd in Tucson, and finally proceed to Mt Lemmon (Sawmill Run Restaurant.

At recent TEVA meetings, Steven Lesh advanced the idea to organize an EV trip to Mt. Lemmon.  Our friends at Drive Electric AZ did just that!  

Sunday, August 17 between 10 am and 11 am, they meet at the Tesla Supercharger on River Road near the intersection of Orange Grove and Thornydale.  Sign-up link and details in the forwarded email below.

Mount Lemmon, with a summit elevation of 9,159 feet (2,792 m), is the highest point in the Santa Catalina Mountains. It is located in the Coronado National Forest north of Tucson, Arizona, United States. Mount Lemmon was named for botanist Sara Plummer Lemmon, who trekked to the top of the mountain with her husband and E. O. Stratton, a local rancher, by horse and foot in 1881.  Mount Lemmon is also known as Babad Do'ag, or Frog Mountain to the Tohono O'odham. It is home to the southernmost ski destination in the continental United States.
