Dear colleagues,
Georgian youth organization “Academy for Peace and Development”
(http://apd.ge) , located in Tbilisi, Georgia is looking for EVS
volunteers for the next deadline in two hosting placements.1.
Project title: Lets Act– Volunteering in Georgia�
Number and Duration of Placements: 4 person for 10-12 months�
Venue:�
Academy for Peace and Development office�
Tbilisi, Georgia�
Short Description: We would like to host long-term EVS
volunteers, who would organize activities in the office and
youth club of Academy for Peace and Development (APD) for youth
from IDP settlements, who are, as mentioned above, APD’s main
target group. APD implemented IDP youth club project, which
included computer and English classes and trainings on topics of
Leadership and Conflict resolution. Nowadays, before the further
official funding, we’re running the project on voluntary basis.
We are planning to involve EVS volunteers in this project where
the main target group is youngsters aged 15-18. We believe that
having a contact with international volunteers will give these
youngsters new experiences, ideas, motivation and encouragement
and skills to work in an international environment.�
Main tasks that will be offered to EVS volunteers in APD office
are:�
Involvement in IDP’s Youth club (teaching English, short
workshop about different topics, organising outdoor activities:
games, excursions, competitions)�
Volunteers centre - organising local events with local
volunteers (envormental actions, promotion of volunteering, etc.
)�
Helping staff of organisation with everyday work (fundraising,
communication with partners, etc.)�
Promoting “Youth in Action” programme generally and specificly
EVS program (weekly presentations in APD office for interested
people – those who would like to do EVS themselves)�
Updating EVS news on a web-page of the organisation�
2. Project title: Make a change with Georgian Learning Centre�
Number and Duration of Placements: 2 person for 10-12 months�

Tbilisi, Georgia�
School – “Georgian Learning Centre”�
Short Description:�
GLC is a private school located in capital of Georgia Tbilisi.
School has its branches in two regions of Georgia (Kobuleti and
Zugdidi). The main aim of the school is to ensure the sucsess of
the students after finishing the school. School is organising
lot of useful events, competitions and debates. they also
provide studenst with summer camps and excursions though whole
year.�
the main priorities for school are foreign languages (English,
German) starting from first grade; math and busines
administration bases in the last year of the study. for more

Main tasks that will be offered to EVS volunteers in GLC are:�
Assist english language teachers on the leason�
Assist teachers and school staff with everyday work (sport
classes, kitchen, computer classes, event preparation)�
Organise outdor/indor activities for children (sport
competitions, workshops on different topics, etc.)�
Create and lead the theatre group (after school leasnons)�
Promoting “Youth in Action” programme generally and specificly
EVS program with other EVS volunteers of APD�
Updating EVS news on a web-page of the APD�
Volunteers will have a task supervisor, who will provide them
with information related to tasks, local reality or any related
topic. They will assist volunteers in getting acquainted with
working techniques of the organization, enhance their learning
opportunities and provide space for their creativity and
initiative to make suggestion for current and future projects of
the organization.Interested volunteers need to send a CV,
motivation letter, one photo and confirmation from the sending
organisation on their readiness to act as an applicant
organisation.�
