This document contains instructions for installing your Gemalto Sentinel SuperPro key so that you can use hardware-locked CrossWorks licenses. You only need to install the Sentinel drivers if you have purchased a 'Shared' developer license with a Sentinel SuperPro key.
Download the 'Sentinel Driver' from here. At the time of writing, the Sentinel driver for Windows is at version 7.6.0 described as 'Sentinel System Driver Installer for Sentinel SuperPro, UltraPro and SHK'

I use a HASP key for unlocking software for a specific software I use for work. But less than a month ago there was a Windows 10 update that made the HASP key stop working. It also doesn't work on my new Windows 11 laptop. The company who makes the keys supposedly has an update driver but that doesn't work either and the software company doesn't know of any fix yet and it is critical for it to work as it is for Fire Life Safety.
Dear Sir,
We have discovered that the HASP dongle for Win10/11 , can't use the latest Sentinel Drivers . Uninstall the current drivers and install Version 8.11 from May 2020
Access to this drivers are found here:
I am having the same issue with connecting to a HASP key in Windows 11. It worked fine with Windows 10. Please correct this ASAP. This is creating a work stoppage for my business. I would revert back to Windows 10, if if I could.
Already Tried this and it did not work. The software program I use that requires the HASP key still does not recognize the HASP key. I think it may be a software updated needed with their drivers but I have not received any answers.
Hi, we use FlexLM for license serving from a server but also via the HASP driver using USB keys. I've noticed on two occasions (and more coming I fear) that the upgrade from HASP 6.65 to HASP 7.103 is failing to install the Sentinel HL Key (it's literally not there). Yet, on other occasions (including my own test systems) it's perfectly fine.
However, if the customer upgrades (and we've had 2 possibly 3 now) they find that in Device Manager the Sentinel HL Key simply doesn't appear (even if I turn on visibility of hidden devices). This means that LMTools can see the HostID of the key (they are FLEX=9 versions with HW 3.25) but our software does not. But, like I said, only in specific instances not all the time.
Thanks, but that's not it - as the dongle itself isn't recognised by Windows (am I in wrong group) - so no amount of code will detect it (although I do see what you mean - our application does see/use the dongle as per) but this is more of a physical thing. I've seen several occasions where the dongle does not show in Windows Device Manager - as Sentinel HL Key (the Sentinel HASP and Sentinel USB keys are shown).
We recently bought two new PCs to add to our CNC department. When I first installed Artcam (2013), everything was fine and the program worked as expected. We eventually had to restart the PCs and now when we try open Artcam, it throws an error saying that the sentinel dongle is not detected. Before the obvious answers come, here is what I have tried so far;
At the root of your ArtCAM installation disc is a file named DongleTesterV3.exe. Please right-click this file and select the Run as administrator context menu option. Please provide details of the results, preferably attaching screenshots to illustrate. If no dongle is detected during the test, please try connecting the USB dongle to a different USB port on your computer and then try repeating this test.
The PAF Licence file (*.paf) corresponding with dongle number 157774 entitles to use ArtCAM Pro 2015 R2. However, since the software license is not registered to your company, I cannot provide you with the latest PAF Licence file (*.paf) stored against the account in the legacy Delcam customer database.
"5.2.5 The Licensee shall not assign, (save in accordance with clause 7) transfer, sell, lease, rent, charge or otherwise deal in or encumber the Licensed Program Materials or use the Licensed Program Materials on behalf of any third party or make available the same to any third party."
"7.1 The Licensee may request the transfer of the Licensed Program to alternative Designated Equipment requiring the issue of a new PAF. Delcam shall be entitled to attach such conditions to the granting of such consent as it may in its absolute discretion reasonably consider appropriate including a condition that Delcam will be entitled to make a reasonable charge."
To my knowledge, nobody has approached Autodesk (or previously Delcam) to request a transfer of ownership for the software license and dongle now in your possession. Is this the only dongle you now have in your posession? The reason I ask is that the registered owner has several dongles registered against their company account in the legacy Delcam customer database.
PAF Licence files (*.paf) were often re-issued to legacy Delcam customers, but USB security-protection dongles and PAF Licensing (*.paf) are not used by Autodesk ArtCAM software. Autodesk acquired Delcam on 6th February 2014, and Delcam was absorbed into Autodesk on 1st August 2016. The Autodesk ArtCAM 2017 product range was released in August 2016 and the Autodesk ArtCAM 2018 product range was released in April 2017. ArtCAM Pro is not part of the Autodesk ArtCAM 2017 or Autodesk ArtCAM 2018 product ranges, and has been discontinued. The ArtCAM 2013 and ArtCAM 2015 R2 product ranges are no longer sold or supported. You might find this article in the Autodesk Knowledge Network useful.
I managed to get my hands on a copy of the 2015 R2 installer and have installed that. It still gives me the same issue with the missing dongle. I have also run the DongleTester and it looked to be fine from what I could see;
This is the latest version of the Sentinel Driver. This replaces both the Sentinel System Driver and the "Sentinel Combo Installer". This will install both the Driver and the Sentinel SuperPro/Ultrapro Server onto your system.
This installer will Install Sentinel UNIX Driver 7.1 and/or Sentinel Protection Server 7.1 on your system. Previous installed copies of these components will be upgraded. This will work for Sentinel UltraPro and Sentinel SuperPro keys.
Kernel version 2.6.5 is the latest kernel that supports .o binary installations. Hence only version 2.6.5 is supported for customized 2.6.x kernels. However, the Sentinel UNIX Driver has also been tested on kernel versions 2.6.3.
The Sentinel UNIX Driver (parallel) binary-mdrbdr.o-is modified to support installation on kernel version 2.6.5. It is installed at: /opt/sentinel/sud/parallel/Fedora/kernel-2.6.5.Please note that the RPM version must be 4.2.1 (or higher).
For Fedora, the .ko binary will be installed. For the remaining distributions, the .o binary will be installed.
