I hope you are doing well, as the seasons begin to shift. Firstly I want to thank all of the people who responded to my last email by expressing that these newsletters are helpful and they can provide inspiration, even if people don't always attend the events. As it turned out, 7 people who heard about the event through me, were inspired to join in for the Higher Love Ecstatic Dance Campout in WV last weekend, and we all had a pretty amazing time. So with that said, I will keep sending out these newsletters when I am able, and doing my part to spread the word about community events.
The main 2 on the horizon are :
1. Musical Medicine - A benefit event for Matt Gaitens - This Sat. Aug. 24th - 4:30-7:30pm - First United Methodist Church - 5401 Centre Ave.
2. Chances R Good - Live in Concert (his 2nd visit to PGH) - Thurs. Sept 5th - 6:30-9:30pm - First United Methodist Church - 5401 Centre Ave.

Everyone is welcome to come to this event, whether you know Matt personally, or not. If you've ever been to an event that I've hosted, then I consider you as part of my Pittsburgh community. Matt has been humbly serving the Pittsburgh community for 17 years as a Massage Therapist, and now, in his time of need, I'm calling on all of you beautiful beings, to come share your presence and bring some positive energy to him and his family.
In the spirit of community healing, join us for an evening of musical medicine to nourish our hearts and souls, and to focus intentions for Matt Gaitens’ healing.
The evening will include:
- Live music & healing frequencies by Angela Kennedy
- Song circle facilitated by Kevin May
- Open drum and dance circle
Prayer and proceeds will support Matt and his journey to overcome cancer through alternative and holistic methods.
We also have a Raffle to fundraise for Matt's healing. You can enter the raffle even if you are not at the event. I will put tickets into the jars of your choosing. Info is below if you'd like to purchase 1 or more Raffle Tickets (5 $ each) with these prize options :
1. A healing herbal salve from Annie Fox
2. A Healing is Cool shirt or tank top of your preferred color and size

Chances R Good played his first souled out show in Pittsburgh last year in October and we are excited to welcome him and his beautiful family back, at a larger venue for Round #2!
Chances R Good, hailing from Crestone, CO creates metaspiritual RnB and Folk-Hop acoustic music that is perfect for family gatherings. His sound is upbeat and positive, designed to get everyone dancing and celebrating together. Rooted in the spirit of gratitude, his music brings joy and connection to the community.
The Venue is the First United Methodist Church - 5401 Centre Ave. Pittsburgh PA 15232. Please enter at the side entrance on Centre Ave. There is a parking lot entrance also on Centre Ave, next to the Wendy's. Street parking is also available. Please bring a small mat and pillow to sit on. Chairs will also be available.
Doors open at 6:30pm. Please arrive between 6:30 and 7pm, so you can be settled in for the Opening Circle at 7pm.

If you are planning to come to the show, it helps me out a lot if you can purchase your ticket(s) in advance. They are on a sliding scale of 20-35$.
