This Saturday, July 20th from 7pm-11pm is a free community gathering to honor the life and legacy of Scott Burke, who tragically took his own life last summer. Scott made a big positive impact on countless people's lives, helped many people get clean from drugs and alcohol, and he was known for connecting like-minded people. Even if you didn't know Scott, I encourage you to come on Saturday, because I am 100% sure that he would be thrilled to see more people in Pittsburgh having genuine conversations and connections amidst the beautiful park of Bandi Shaum on the South Side.

If you'd like to hear some of Scott's passionate ideas on the importance of Wellness for Creatives, please check out this 10 minute video.

Here is a message from Nico, who is organizing the event :
This July 20th marks a year since our beloved Scott has left this plane. We miss him dearly. Bringing together again his friends and family to honor him and spend time at one of Scott’s favorite places, Bandi Schaum! If some of you remember, we attempted to have his memorial there last year but were rained out. We will have a bonfire, food and beverages, and watch some of the podcasts Scott has left us during his time here. Artists are welcome to express themselves freely in whichever form they are called to. Feel free to bring anything to this potluck! Back up plan in place in case it rains again!

Bandi Shaum Park is at 134 Greeley St. Pittsburgh PA 15203

And a message from me (Kevin) :
There is an upper parking lot and if that is full, there is a lower parking lot on Mission Street. The entrance to the Overlook of Bandi Shaum Park where we will be, is at the uppermost part of the upper parking lot. It is a small trail that goes into the woods. Please walk about 30 yards straight, then make the first sharp right up the path and walk another 50 yards up the hill. Please be very mindful while walking on the path, as some of the rocks are uneven. If you need assistance please text me : 412-298-5341

Summer Nights + Neon Dreams Ecstatic Dance - Sat. July 27th at Attack Theater - 7pm-10pm
Get ready to boogie down at the most fabulous movement meditation event of the summer!

- On Saturday, July 27, SUMMER NIGHTS & NEON DREAMS is back at @attacktheatre and, like, way better than ever, with a totally tubular mix of new retro tunes that’ll make your spirit totally soar. This year’s theme is all about Inner Child healing, so come as you are and let your true Self shine like it’s 1999!

Proudly presented by @Ecstaticdancepgh, join us for a wicked 18+ night of dance, where you can break free and get jiggy with it.
- Doors open at 6:30p and will LOCK at 7:20p to preserve the sanctity of the container. Please arrive by 7:15p.

- We’re, like, totally stoked to have the amazing Tina Deems back, offering her insightful dream interpretations. Tina is, like, the queen of dreamland, helping you decode those gnarly nocturnal messages and tap into your deepest subconscious vibes. Way existential!

- So, like, remember how everyone thought the world was gonna end during Y2K? Well, it’s the end of the world for all those outdated paradigms holding you back. These old programs were installed as protectors, coming from a place of love, however misguided. Join us as we offer gratitude to those parts for doing the best they could with what they had at the time before we collectively Ctrl+Alt+Delete them.
- Embrace the new millennium of YOU by shedding what no longer serves you and stepping into a totally fresh and healed version of yourself. Duh!

- Grab your freshest threads, dust off those neon kicks, and get ready to party like it’s the end of the world as we know it! Fun 90s outfits are highly encouraged but, like, totally not required.

- Tix for this transformative event are available on a pay-what-you-can sliding scale of $5-$30. First-timer tix are $15. Pay-what-you-can options will be available at the door on July 27 as well. No one will ever be turned away due to lack of funds.

-We’re also happy to announce that every ticket purchased at the $10+ tier includes a $5 donation made directly to the Palestinian Children Relief Fund.

Matt Gaitens who has been a member of the Pittsburgh community for many years, was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He was at the original Peaceful Gathering of Hands back in 2011 and has served the Pittsburgh community in many ways over the years, including hosting Open Mics at Biddle's Escape Cafe and giving thousands of healing massages through his profession as a Massage Therapist.

He is in a time of need, and I am doing my best to rally support for this wonderful Father of 2 children, so that he can receive the healing treatments that he is pursuing.

Please check out his GoFundMe campaign to learn more, and contribute if you can :
