Upcoming PGH Events + Urgent Request for Hurricane Relief

Hello Pittsburgh Friends, 

I hope you and your loved ones are doing well as the Fall Season gets into full swing. There are some great community events coming up, which I list down below, but first I feel compelled to share that I have a bunch of friends in North Carolina who are doing extremely important work getting life-saving supplies to the thousands of people in desperate need in the rural outskirts of Asheville (where I lived for 3 summers).

Asheville is devastated by Helene, the grief is beyond words, the energy is chaotic, people are dead, people are trapped without food and water, people have lost their homes and all of their belongings, some people we still haven’t heard from since it all happened on Friday.

Friends reaching out with some really horrific news. Friends doing ground-work delivering resources like water, gas, food, batteries, diapers, breastmilk, dog food etc. because many roads have been ripped from the ground and bridges caved into the rivers beneath.

There are countless organizations raising funds. If you are able to contribute, please do. I have some dear friends who are making crucial water and supply deliveries to rural areas who are furthest and most cut off from stores and supplies. HERE IS THEIR GOFUNDME CAMPAIGN.

Every little bit helps. Even 5$ can get a few gallons to people who have been without water for days.

Thank you so much and please continue to pray and support the survivors of this devastating hurricane however you are able.
