Students can test their coding and problem solving skills at next week’s Ingenuity Challenge: https://ecms.adelaide.edu.au/ingenuity/ingenuity-challenge
Prizes are to be won!

Who can participate?
* The Ingenuity Challenge is designed for those that have a coding background equivalent to 2-3 years of Bachelor study in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
* The Challenge is open to all international participants who are considering to pursue a Masters or PhD, as long as they have not already commenced studying at the University of Adelaide.

Process:
* The problem set will be emailed to all registered participants at 2pm AEST on the day of Ingenuity, Tuesday 27 October 2020.
* Participants will then have 72 hours to work on the challenge, submitting solutions as they go via our online form to better their scores.
* The Ingenuity Challenge is a game of skill, with prizes awarded to the students with the most optimal solutions at the close of the competition at 2pm AEST 30 October 2020.
[Note: students can still register even after 2pm on 27 Oct, but the closing time of 2pm 30 Oct is the same for all]

Ingenuity (https://ecms.adelaide.edu.au/ingenuity/) is the annual flagship student event for the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences (ECMS) at The University of Adelaide and serves as a platform for our students to professionally showcase their work to a wide range of audiences. In 2019, Ingenuity welcomed over 5,000 attendees, including nearly 3,500 primary and high school students, industry representatives, University staff and students, and members of the general public. Ingenuity is the biggest expo of its kind in South Australia.

This year we are pleased to announce that Ingenuity is going virtual!

Ingenuity provides a fantastic opportunity for colleagues and students at our partner universities to see the types of projects that our students are working on at the University of Adelaide. We are delighted to be able to host this event online and invite members of your University community to an interactive showcase of university student projects exploring the real-life applications of architecture, engineering, computer science/IT and mathematical sciences.

Register now for free (https://www.ubivent.com/register/11/Ingenuity2020) to explore the platform throughout the day on Tuesday 27 October and then on-demand until 27 November. Please also extend the invitation to your University students and colleagues.

Please invite your students to participate in our Ingenuity Challenge 2020

For any students that have an interest in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering and have a background in coding, we are offering the chance to participate in the Ingenuity Challenge 2020 and win a $500 AUD Amazon voucher.

This year the Ingenuity Challenge is an open-source optimization challenge that students can work on for 72 hours from Tuesday 27th, submitting their results as they go to get their name on our Ingenuity Challenge 2020 leader board. Please encourage your students to register and participate (https://ecms.adelaide.edu.au/ingenuity/ingenuity-challenge).

Thank you and we look forward to hosting you virtually for Ingenuity 2020!
