Topics include genetic algorithms, genetic programming, ant colony optimization and swarm intelligence, complex systems, evolutionary combinatorial optimization and metaheuristics, evolutionary machine learning, evolutionary multiobjective optimization, evolutionary numerical optimization, neuroevolution, real-world applications, theory, hybrids and more.
*** REGISTRATION ***
The registration site for the conference is now open, please see details online: https://gecco-2026.sigevo.org/Registration
** REGISTRATION RULES **
There are three main types of registration: In-Person, Online:Presenter and Online:Participant. A Presenter is an attendee who presents one or more submissions (tutorial, paper, poster, workshop paper, LBA, HOP). Participants are attendees who have no paper to present and only wish to attend the conference (though they can be co-authors of presented papers). In-Person: an attendee who is physically present at the conference in San José can present one or more submission. Participants are encouraged to register earlier to receive communication leading up to the event; the registration system will remain open until after the conference.
At least one author of each accepted paper needs to register (as in-person or online presenter) by May 11, 2026, otherwise the submission will not be included in the proceedings. This should be the person intending to present the paper at the conference. Registration applies to not only full papers but also any publication included in the companion proceedings. Registering an author does not automatically grant conference access to co-authors (they need to register if they wish to attend the conference).
Only students of bachelor, master, or Ph.D. programs with a valid student ID (or other proof of student status) at the time of the registration are eligible for student fees. Current ACM/SIGEVO Student members do not need to provide additional proof. Non-members will need to provide proof during the registration process.
