Someone might have noticed that EvoCOP has distributed a call for
late-breaking abstracts.

There are two discussions (Anna and Jennifer please give us your opinion
about them) I would like to raise:

- I would suggest that similar initiatives, which involve some
organizational overhead, be discussed more collectively among all
conference representatives.
This possibly raises a question: is it reasonable, also in view of Jennifer's
"graceful disengagement" that a sort of global chair be foreseen for
the future editions of Evostar (possibly changing yearly), as a
super-conference coordinator, to moderate and take care of all
questions that affect the global organization of the event?

- Do you think it may be reasonable to do something alike for EvoApps ?
How will those contribution be published?
I guess from the CFP that EvoCOP's LBA will be just offered a spot as
a poster, with no kind of publication.
One (including EvoCOP) might probably add that the abstract will be
published in Evostar's web site along with the other abstracts of the
papers accepted for inclusion in the conference program.

Hi all,
To my point of view, this kind of offer could be very attractive for some more people can attend the conference.

I would suggest a better type of 'reward' for those accepted late-breaking papers, which could motivate a bit more to the potential contributors. Moreover I think this option would not require too much additional work for (I guess) the proceedings chair, once a set of LBPs would be accepted by the reviewers/chairs.

My proposal would be to publish them in an online proceedings media such as CEUR (http://ceur-ws.org/) or Arxiv (https://arxiv.org/), which are also indexed in DBLP for instance and do not have many restrictions in order to publish this kind of 'complementary proceedings'.

Cheers,
Antonio.
