I decided tonight to live out my dream goal of having my own bakery in the sims tonight. Starting with a basic level 3 skill in baking, I started off with cookies and cupcakes and donuts. ? I didn't expect that to net me like $9 simoleans for 1 day of work. I was like ok....I need to make more expensive items and sell.....after few days of doing this, was netting about $90 simoleans a day.....uhm.....what the heck am I doing wrong? ? Is it really this hard to run a bakery in the sims? Is it even profitable to? I don't even have employees right now. It's just my one sim baking (I'm about to adopt me some more household members though) but I really wanted it to be my sim being her own business owner and having employees.
I can use the bakers station and know how to stock shelves when current sim owns lot/bakery. When I go into store as customer there isn't any food. food runs out after a few days. Is there any way to stock bakery without having to switch back to the sim who owns lot/bakery?
@Dme2 I've never tried this myself, but there should be a way to do it, with a cheat. However, the cheats I've seen are mostly for sims that own the bakery, so you may have to try a few different things before one works.
The first option to try is to bring up the cheats console (crtl-shift-c) and enter "testingcheatsenabled true" without quotes. Then shift-click, or maybe crtl-shift-click, the oven that comes with the bakery. Hopefully you'll see the option "DEBUG_serve" or something like that. If not, try entering Build/Buy first. Since your active family doesn't own the lot, you'll need to shift-click on the floor of the bakery to see the option.
Mosi was trained in the baking arts by his mother and first opened up his bakery in Renton. When the original location of Kauai Desserts became available in 2011, he moved the family bakery back to its spot right next to his uncle's restaurant.
While the base of the business is and always will be cakes, Cakes of Paradise also makes tropical pies (including macadamia nut pie!), a variety of pastries and authentic Portuguese-style malasadas with custard, guava or haupia (coconut) filling. Aside from made-to-order cakes, the bakery also offers single slices.
"Our mother-in-law taught [Mosi] when he first started off the bakery to always lead with aloha, and as long as you do that, you will be good," said Sims. "And if we can do that through our desserts, it's a blessing."
I hope you all enjoyed seeing the pictures. The first floor usually focuses on bakery, the second floor focuses on baking with the oven and the third floor has a little store room and a little bar on the other side to relax.
I think these are really great tips but i also think that you should have a small area where the your sims can go to relax or go on the computer. Mine is a very small but comfartable study and it works great for my sim! also thanks for the tips!

(Paris, France)Type of BusinessBakeryThe Mama Bear Bakery is the bakery that was owned by Willow Collins and is located in Magnolia Promenade. It was featured in the Rags to Riches series and is now owned by Willow's Oldest Son, Koda Collins.
After affording enough money, Willow and Yona were able to re-decorate the bakery and they hired a girl named Joselyn Smith who didn't do her job and would just eat the baked food. Sales were good at one point, but things were not easy as it often kept Willow and Yona - especially Willow - up late in the middle of the night.
The bakery was not seen much after the series ended but it made brief appearances in other series. Not much is known about the bakery now but Willow and Yona seem to still own it even into their old age.
Many years later, the bakery was revealed to be located in Paris, France (a mod) and Willow's son Kenai and his girlfriend Ivy took their children to Paris and they visited the bakery which also held a flower arrangement area. The bakery was also revealed to be now owned by Koda, Kenai's brother.
Indulgent Bakery is a gorgeous venue with 3 separate and different bakery stores. I think together with the Prism Art Studio, the bakery venue one of the most detailed venues the store has ever given us. Every room you will look through is decorated completely. What I find especially impressive is the roof design, there must have been a lot of work in that!
The 3 different bakery stores are all unique and each one can only be accessed through their entry on the ground floor, there are no interconnections anywhere. The first store is more a traditional bakery store where you can buy bread and then leave.
