Hiallyssa and @mmckenna! I just wanted to give you a small update as we work on the issue. This is actually a bug within monday as all nonprofit accounts should have access to both private spaces and pivots/analytics. Our team is working on resolving the bug. I will keep you posted once I have an additional update.

@allyssa @mmckenna Hi again! I just received confirmation that these issues were resolved on your accounts! Would you mind double checking and making sure everything is working? Again, this is a bug, so I appreciate your patience if there is any issue!

Would you mind shooting me an email (jasm...@monday.com) with the email associated with your monday account? I will take your account over to our internal team to see if we can get this resolved. @allyssa and I worked on her resolution of the private spaces together and we were able to resolve pretty quickly, but for some reason the bug is getting in the way on other accounts, so your patience is much appreciated!

I would really like this feature activated. I would like to use HubSpot as a one-stop-shop. I assign tasks to my TME but everyone else can see it, which is not really what I want, therefore I am forced to use Outlook Tasks instead.

When working on a confidential project, the ability to keep the tasks confidential until ready to announce is VERY IMPORTANT. With out this ability in HubSpot, the need to use another method is necessary...bummer....back to INSIGHTLY for tasks. Lots of bouncing around.

I would also like to see this implemented. CEO and Executive team members may have private information in their tasks. We are forced to use other systems because this is not a feature. Please develop this!

I spoke with the Product Manager for this project at HubSpot and showed them Asana (I highly recommend using it for the time being) and they took detailed notes. One of the main requests I focused on was the ability to make Tasks private and I showed how it looks/works within Asana. They did say they are working on it at the moment but I did not get an ETA on project completion.

This feature would be great. Understand that we can use workflows and automate internal emails to specific groups as a workaround, but most of these tasks would happen ad-hoc and on the fly, so we'd likely just go directly to other internal messaging systems to communicate privately (slack, email, etc.)... Would love to see this functionality added to the CRM!

I would like to see this implented as well. In most organizations you can trust salespeople to follow up on quotes, contracts, etc. but in my case I can't. Don't understand them not following up, but if I could set a private task for me to follow up on their follow up would be helpful.

I would like to see this implemented. I manage a team and there are times when I would like to set a private task for myself to make sure critical tasks are being taken care of by other team members. I am sure other managers would find this hekpful.

As a COO who is increasingly utilizing more features wihtin HubSpot, I feel it is important to allow for a particular task of mine to be made private or even allow an entire user's tasks to be private. Some things are not appropriate for the whole team. This should be a simple, quick fix and provide a lot of value. Please address ASAP!

It would be great to have the ability to create private tasks/projects that only I can view. our team is using HubSpot projects for all of to-dos and some of them we don't need or want shared with the team. Having the ability to make it Private would be great.

Guys, this feature is of PARAMOUNT important, and it would be so easy to implement. How is it possible that this question has been opened for almost five years? I mean seriously, do this AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

My first question is: I would like my website when published, to only be visible or accessed by people who have the link. Is there a way to make it so the site is private and only viewable by people I give the link too? (similar to Soundcloud's private share feature)

I read somewhere that you can hide individual pages from search, but I was hoping to hide the whole site. I hope someone understands what it is I'm trying to achieve and I would really appreciate any advice on this matter.

Hey @tobiasjvockings! There's an option on the Settings tab to hide the entire site from search engines, which is what it sounds like you want to do. This will make it so only people that know your domain name or guess it will be able to see the site, since it won't be indexed by any search engines.

If you want to password protect your site so people need to enter a password to view it, enter site password in the field in Settings > General. For sites built using the newer Square Online website editor this is found in Website > General settings on the dashboard. Note that you may need to upgrade to use this feature.

NOW, is there a way to embed the password in the link with some code at end of link (like "?password=xxxx") or something, so I can give the whole link to people I trust, and they do not have to enter the password? They just type in the whole link, and the password is detected and they are granted accessed? IS THAT POSSIBLE?

That's a good question, @kdog. I'm sure there is probably a way to make this happen, although it would probably require some extensive coding. There is another thread that I believe asks a similar question, although no one has replied yet. I would recommend checking it out here: -Feedback/Password-Protect-individual-pages/m-p/110397#M482...

I don't think that would be possible; when you visit a password protected page, you're forwarded to a page to enter the password, then forwarded back to the original page. We don't expose the password in the query string since it needs to be encrypted.

Is the setting for hiding site from SEO available on the free plan? I noticed to have the site password protection or membership feature requires Pro plan or higher. I have another weebly site and can't move content yet since it has to be done manually, so I was hoping to find a work around so I'm not paying for two sites right now but I need my old site to be private.

Open your site in the website editor, then go to the Settings tab there. Go to the SEO section and scroll down, then toggle on the "Hide site from search engines" option. Click the green save button afterward and your site will be prevented from being indexed by search engines.

Thanks @Kalin U , spot on!

Hi @Atle Bjelland , We currently don't support converting an existing public project to private or vice versa. We've designed it this way to keep the model intuitive and prevent accidental closing or worse, opening up of sensitive projects.

For us we kept projects private while in Beta by only allowing certain users access to Atlas. Now its out of Beta and we upgraded to premium it would be great to let more people into Atlas but then they would see all the older projects.

Aah interesting @Arthur Mack . Unfortunately, you can't make a public project private. So maybe one way is to archive those projects and create new private ones instead? Archived projects are still discoverable so this isn't foolproof cc: @Rachel Lin

The same applies. Making a job post private (completed or in progress) also makes it private in the feedback of the client and the freelancer, in other words, the job posting can no longer be accessed via the feedback, and the completed job does not show on the logged out view of the freelancer's profile anymore.

I don't have any jobs open right now, but on my closed jobs I cannot see where to do this either. I have a vague memory that I have also asked this question previously (I believe I actually wanted to go the other way, and change a private job to a public one) and was told that once the job is closed you can't change it.

Hello, I have to say that this thread is very confusing, until Upwork Support finally gives the bad news that that a job cannot be made private, once it has been closed or the contract ended. (Maybe edit the thread?)

So, grasping at straws here, can a closed job (contract not ended yet) be either deleted, or edited in any way? LIke the OP, I am concerned that I have given away information in my job posting that I don't want my competitors to see.

A job post cannot be edited by a user once it has been removed/closed, regardless of an active contract. However, you are able to contact the support team and explain to them your need to make the job private and they are able to review and help assist with such requests.

On the contrary, the freelancer will see value in keeping the job public since it appears on his profile during & after execution. If you want it to be private the freelancer needs to know about that beforehand. You should consider this part of the contract terms; any change requires both parties to agree so it may result in different cost/timeline/etc., or even in the deal falling through.

Is it possible to contact customer service to reopen a contract to make it private? I have a posting/contract that was closed but it's very important that I make it private due to proprietary information.

Could you also ask someone to contact me because I have the same problem and would like to make private a completed work. I have just noticed that the description of the work + the attached documents are public... This is very strange. How is it that possible ?
