While Porsche confirmed last year that the current-gen petrol Macan and 718 Boxster and Cayman would be replaced by electric successors in 2024, both production and customer orders are set to cease come June.  While pre-configured stock of Macan and 718 will continue to be sold through 2024 locally, the opportunity for customers to configure a vehicle to order from the factory ceases in May. For both models, all ICE production is reportedly wrapping up in early-to-mid Q3.  Porsche has been on record explaining that it intends to limit the crossover of current-gen petrol and new-gen electric Macans (specifically) in showrooms globally.  While both current Porsche models are reaching natural ends to lifecycles, it’s understood neither complies with upcoming ADRs changes around autonomous emergency braking being introduced from March 2025 ...
