% (I was there:) SF-CA bay area BART had EVSE way back in the 1990's. Below is a list from 1999 showing GM's proprietary inductive(wireless) spi EVSE, and conductive AVCON EVSE EV chargers. Those were pre- j1772 level2 standard EVSE. Today, those EVSE have been updated to j1772 L2 EVSE. Sacramento-CA 's SMUD utility was first, NorCal's pg&e and SoCal's utilities soon followed. %
