This course provides both theoretical background and hands-on training on using genomic and transcriptomic data to study sex chromosomes. Topics include:
Detection of homo-/heteromorphic sex chromosomes
Early stages of sex chromosome differentiation
Recombination suppression and evolutionary strata
Gene gain/loss, divergence, and dosage compensation
Sex-biased gene expression analysis
The course combines lectures, practical exercises, and interactive discussions with the instructors.
