Trump mentioned Remdesivir, a mixture of monoclonal antibodies, over and over again yesterday and even claimed it had cured him, but Remdesivir was made from human cells derived from a fetus aborted decades ago and Trump banned Federal spending on embryonic stem cells in June 2019 because "Promoting the dignity of human life from conception to natural death is one of the very top priorities of my administration". I have no illusions that this will weaken Trump's Holy Roller base of political support, the religious have long ago made their peace with hypocrisy and self contradiction and it no longer bothers them.
By the way, although there is nothing inherently wrong with the words themselves it nevertheless remains true that I have never heard the words"dignity" or "sanctity" used to support an argument I agreed with.
