Thank you so much for your kind comments. I am, indeed, very
fortunate to be able to stay in contact with the past in general and my
Great-grandfather in particular. Many people have helped our family
understand the history of our ancestors. My Uncle George Johnson (grandson
of John A) commissioned a book about John A. and his family.
People like Verne W. Kindschi who saved the Fuller & Johnson
manufacturing records from the coal bin and wrote the book "The Fuller
& Johnson Story", C.H. Wendell's "The American Gasoline Engine"
and Nick Lozzi who has somehow taken a strong interest in the Fuller &
Johnson engines help keep the history alive. As you know, The Badger Steam
and Gas Engine Club of Baraboo WI. built a Fuller & Johnson dealership
replica and museum building on their grounds in Baraboo and now, thanks to
many collectors, houses some rarel Fuller & Johnson items such as a Bemis
Trans planter, a 25 HP (the largest built) Verne Kindschi's 20 HP and a Fuller
& Johnson lawn mower. This August 20-22 will be the dates for the
Great Fuller & Johnson Rally of 2010. Please visit
