Would like info on starting 3 HP F & J

I just bought a F&J 3 HP (engine # 79136), and I don't know anything about hit and miss engines. The gentleman that I got it from said that it did run so I took a chance on it. I would now like to get it started , but don't know how to go about it. I would appreciate it if there is someone who could walk me through it. Thanks,
