This is not a direct engine comment, I am a mechanical engineer that
has spent my entire working life in manufacturing. This has
fortunately has made me very aware of what a European specific
industrial giant this country used to be and unfortuneately what it no
longer is.
I think that we are incredibly fortunate of the fact that your
ancestor was a part of the good days...hard days but good days and
that you have choosen to be a part of the connection to your past and
our past. The decendants of the creators of the industrial age are
countless but you are one of the very few that choose to stay in
contact with your past and help those like me who are the fans of
these people and what they gave us.
It must be a special feeling to be in your place and to be able to
say that my family made the lives of many hard working Americans a
little better if not a lot.
My NC is the favorite of all of my different brands of engines.
