I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

安吉洛(Angelou, Maya )
原名玛格丽特?约翰逊(Marguerite Johnson)。 (1928.4.4,美国密苏里州圣路易斯～) 美国女诗人。其自传式的作品所探索
的主题涵盖经济、种族和性压抑等，包括《我知道笼中鸟为何唱歌》(1970)、《女人心》(1981)、以及《所有神的孩子都需要旅行鞋》
(1986)。她的诗集包括《在我死前给我一杯冷饮就好》(1971)、《我依然会站起来》(1978)、以及《我将不为所动》(1990)。她在克林
顿的第一次就职典礼(1993)上朗诵自己所写的诗，因而提高了她的知名度。2002年出版其6册回忆录《歌声飞入云霄》。
这首诗在著名英文诗歌网站PoemHunter.com上名列TOP500榜首，读来确实觉得非常不错，然后去网上搜索安吉洛的诗，发现诗人在中国推介
尚少，于是就试着翻译了一下。有不妥之处，恳请批评指正。
