Working overseas

Hello I'm traveling for family work out of country. I work for a USA company that has restricted access on its work laptop which means I won't be able to use the internet or connect since it'll be accessing local ip. I'm trying to see if there is a way to access the internet using a vpn which encrypts the connection to show its coming from a USA ip and if it's possible then how to set this up. I have my phone and laptop here with me. Please help.
