Every Day Sacred Basics

Here are some basics you need to know to navigate the Every Day Sacred Immersion and Teacher Training with confidence:

1. Please bring with you paper and something to write with to every meeting.

You will also want to wear clothing to do asana.

2. It is recommended to bring food with you on the weekend meetings. There

will be time for a short break to eat or relax.

3. The rest of the day we will have various activities such as "asana lab" (looking

at the poses and learning the details), and teachings around topics such

as yoga philosophy, yogic subtle body, pranayama and meditation.

4. You will not need to bring the books with you on the first

weekend.  However, prior to the first meeting please read:

Chapter 1 (p5 - 7) in Desikachar's Heart of Yoga

Chapter 1 (p3 - 11) in Donna Farhi's Bringing Yoga to Life

5. You are required to take at least one public yoga class per week while

enrolled in the immersion and/or TT.  You have unlimited yoga classes at

Namste from 9/21- 12/9/12, and 1/12 -3/24/13. We hope you are able to

take advantage of this and take class regularly!

6. Books are available at a 15% discount at Namaste Grand Lake.
