i have the same problem. after the song ends, it stays silent for several seconds before playing "parting glass" by ed sheeran. the song file for "give me love" is over 8 minutes, despite being a much shorter song. i find this rather odd considering i can't find "parting glass on spotify except for a live in concert version.

The way I see it, its about this guy who's still in love with a girl who has left him (maybe she dumped him , or maybe she died). And now there is this new girl who loves him and he loves her too. But he still can't forget his old love. He's still thinking about her and crying for her and getting drunk over her memories. But he also understands the new girl loves him, and he's feeling maybe he's being unfair to the new girl by clinging on to the old one. He's trying to move on.

I couldn't figure out why this song was so hurtful and beautiful for me all at once. This is exactly what is going on with me.... I think you have to love yourself before you can let go..... This is the "end game" if you will..... A-team... then Drunk.... then Lego House..... then Drunk again.... then Lego House again.... then Give me Love.

@Koz@Koz I thought the exact same thing... I think, he really wants to make this relationship work but he's having a hard time not comparing it to his previous lover and getting over her. For example, when he says 'fight my corner', he means he hopes his current lover will understand his defense about being unable to fully let go of his past, and that she'll work with him to move ahead and make what they have work. I love that the song shows how confusing it can be to figure out who you love...

Just wanting to love and feel love in return. It's pretty simple. It's terrible to feel like you'll never find love. The girl in the video was Cupid, giving love to everyone else even though she longed for some herself. So in the end she stabs herself in the neck. When she wakes up, the arrow bursts and my guess is she finds love in the cop.

I think its about a guy who has been broken up with by his ex girlfriend and basically never told her he loved her but he's with someone new but this girl he's with now dosen't even come near to his last girl. But the chorus indicates that the girl he was with before, didn't love him and had no time for him but he tried to fight for but It was no use she had moved on

Sounds like the guy is trying to let go of the hurt of previous relationship through seeing someone new. He's asking the new girl to give him love but can't tell if it's because he misses that so much from the other girl, or because he is finally feeling new passion with the new girl. Leaning towards the former since it simply seems a bit of a sad/tragic song.

Give me love like her,'Cause lately I've been waking up alone,Paint splattered teardrops on my shirt,Told you I'd let them go,And that I'll fight my corner,Maybe tonight I'll call ya,After my blood turns into alcohol,No, I just wanna hold ya. - He tells her that she changed. "Give me love like her" - by "her" he means the person she was when they fell in love. He convinces that he's lonely and that he miserably wants and needs her loving and care.

M-my my, m-my my, m-my my, give me love, lover (give me love),M-my my, m-my my, m-my my, give me love, lover (give me love),M-my my, m-my my, m-my my, give me love, lover (give me love, love me),M-my my, m-my my, m-my my, give me love, lover (give me love). - Like this,it doesn't make sense, but actually this is the most powerful moment of the song. The way that he screams at her "love me!" just shows how deep his emotions are.

I think that this has to do with a guy who is deeply in love with a girl. He goes back and forth with how he should go about trying to fix his problems with her. He begs for forgiveness. He sees that for some reason she is detached and can't love him because of something that happened in her past. She's physically there yet emotionally absent and he is just trying to pull her back to reality. They wake up together, yet emotionally alone. As emotional as she is she just cant get herself to love. He is willing to do what it takes to bring her back but sometimes he gets frustrated but in the end he will always be there for her.

I think this is about a guy who was in love with a girl who didn't know what love was. She tried her hardest to love him but couldn't, leaving him desperate for her love, hence 'give me love'. When they split up, she found out what love was with someone else and he was left alone, trying to find someone like her. Maybe, anyway.

OK, let's take a step back. Technically, Ed didn't perform a new song, but rather his own song, which isn't his. Yes, it's confusing, but stay with us. Remember the song "Love Yourself", which was Justin Beiber's smash hit of 2016 that even earned a Grammy nod for Song of the Year?Well, it turns out the song was originally written by Ed and then scrapped from his recently released album, Divide. But not one to let it go to waste, Ed graciously handed the song over to Justin, who turned it into the hit we know and love.
