Anyone have experience with Everest contract expriing? Does Everest stop working? Anyone know how this is handled. We're working to migrate off Everest and looking to see what our cutoff is going to look like.

Are you on Everest online? Or are you hosting Everest on your own servers with your product activation codes? If you are self hosted nothing will stop working. I do not know about the hosted version of Everest...

I did do a snapshot of a dev server and ran the calendar/clock up and it seemed to continue to work

I let our lapse many years back. We kept running it for about 3 years after. Our version was 5.x  so they may have changed this.

The concern I had was that in order to re-install it you need a code from them. So your backups have to be image based and you can’t migrate to newer hardware or software without some risk.

I suspect that if you set the clock back to the date that matches the last code they gave you and blocked it from the internet it might re-install.

I am also sure this could be defeated some other way but that would be a license violation.

Brian ... Not sure how/why you would need a code to reinstall v5. Are you still using Everest in your back-office or did you make some changes? 

On v5, no registration codes are required for installation other than if one is installing the SDK. Those codes look at the serial number and validation code. 

The software can always be installed without any issue whatsoever.
