Have an old system I need to migrate. Don't have the SA password for SQL 2000. If I change it, Everest breaks. How do I change the sa password in the Everest to the new password of the SQL?

Hi William,
To change SA password on the Everest follow this. Go to Everest installation folder (D:\Program Files (x86)\Icode\Everest\Client\Utilities) change drive as per your location.
See ChangeLoginPassword.exe and run this and you can change password.

That worked. Thank you! However, now that I've restored the company to the new server, I cannot log into it. The migration process finished successfully. I can see the database mdf file in the data folder of Everest. But it's only giving me option to log into the sample company.
Can't find anything in the help file for this issue.

You are missing an entry for your company in the COMPANIES table of the EVEREST_SYSTEM database.

The company name must exactly match your registered company name / the value in the company name field of the division field.
The company code in the in the COMPANIES table must match the company code in the division table.
The database name should be the name of your SQL database name in SQL "EVEREST_COMPANYNAME" vs "EVEREST_SAMPLE" for the ASC database.

If you need any additional help, let us know.

Happy Holidays from MARTEC360

Since you have restored it on the new server. My way to work on this is to create a new company after login to sample company with your live company information (hope you have saved that info) trade name , Legal name and company code is more important and once you created company followed by company setup wizard you will have balance company and now you can restore your database using either SQL management or via dB migration utility.
Hope this will save your time and if you still need help let me know.
