Hello Everyone. I ran into this group while googling around to see what options I have. I have a client who is running Everest 2.0 R750, on Windows Server 2003 system. We have the server in its own VLAN and pretty secure, but we need to move from this situation.

I have seen various posts here about newer versions, like 5.2.6, and wondering if anyone has a source of where this could be purchased, to work with Server 2012, and SQL 2008, instead of this really old version with SQL 2000 Express and Win Server 2003. I was considering contacting ignitetech, as it looks like they purchased the systems, and also saw a post here about greenestep, but I wonder if any of them will have an upgrade path for the data in Everest 2.0 to their solution, so maybe a midway point like 5.2.6 or similar would be a good option.

Any suggestions or information, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Good evening Pedro

Moving from v2 onward up through the middle versions to the more stable v5, v7 and v8 represents a handful of topics. V6 was purposely left out as it was not an amazing version.

To your point/question, licensing, whether the account has their keys, hardware & software requirements, on prem vs cloud hosting, plus any customizations a licensing addons.

None of this is straightforward with easy answers.

We would be happy to setup a consult call with yourself and/or the account to talk though the topics and help craft a plan. In the meantime, you can learn a little more on our background with Everest as well as other solutions/services.

Please let us know if you have any questions or which days may work best for a conference call.

Regards

MARTEC360

Hi Pedro:

Depending on their Budget, the choices can limit what they would want to do.  GreeneStep (former Everest Developers) has out of the box migration integration from any level of Everest. I would give them a serious look as their function is practically identical to Everest but with far more features for today’s needs and requirements

Hello Pedro,

It's amazing to hear customers using Everest and that too ver 2.0 R750 that was one of the stable builds back then.

I won't be able to help you with running Everest but we have migrated several Everest customers to cloud solutions we offer and they are all happy they did move to modern erp solution.

We were the original developers of Accware, Accware online and Everest so my passion is to help any Everest customer out there, if this interest you, please visit our website https://www.info-sourcing.com

Thank you. I'll keep you in mind. We are looking for something more "out of the box" and more inexpensive, I'll let you know if we decide to get more information. Thanks again.

Hi Mario’s:

I would recommend moving to GreeneStep as Ignitetech charges outrageous fees for any licenses. GreeneStep’s system is a 21st century ap very similar to Everest that you would have minimal conversion and training needs. They have converted Everest users in a weekend.

I could not agree more with you about Sunny and his team.  Greenestep handled the migration from Everest 5.2.5 over a long weekend from a backup we made to Dropbox.  We were live on their hosted platform on Tuesday morning.  The platform has been incredibly stable.  The host server is in AZ, we are in SoCal.  Connectivity and speed have been solid.  Greenestep is very responsive.  Sunny was involved in our initial Everest install.  The switch to Greenestep was painless.

We have options for handling / managing v1 onwards up to v5, v6, v7 or v8 with no issues. Moreover, so many Everest merchants we meet have been stuck with no growth. Having worked with 400+ Everest merchants over 20+ years on growth enablement options, we help organizations not just operate but instead thrive within the system. At the end of the day, we help you leverage your data as an asset to unlock growth.

There is much to like about what Greenestep has done. That said, if your an ecom firm looking for growth ... there are FAR better options.

Feel to reach out to us at MARTEC360. We've innovated on the system since iCode for DOS vs imitating.

Regards / Andrew

Hi Andrew

Look honestly speaking we are a small company with2 users and mostly we are working the accounting part of Everest. We do not use any ecommerce, Purchases and Sales. I am looking for a solution in order to keep my history and have the option to use it on Windows 10/11 computers
