Everest Freight Estimator returns $0.00 for all shipping options

On 9/27/2023 the freight estimator stopped working on our back end. All couriers and rates return $0.00. Oddly our web store is still populating rates properly. I tried purging some rate tables and importing them again (UPS Z241-Z247). The web store reflects the new rates however the freight estimator still returns $0.00. This is a major problem for us because Martec360's custom web store has chronic outages every few days going on for three years now. When this happens the phone rings off the hook with customers needing to place phone orders. With this new problem we are unable to calculate shipping on the back end. We are paralyzed yet again.

Martec360 is pushing me to go with 3rd party shipping software using APIs as a work around. I have concerns about the state of the SQL db (as we have other unresolved issues) not to mention the added cost and unknown stability of these integrations.

Hopefully someone here who has some advanced knowledge can offer some insight into what I can check. I am not versed on SQL so this makes things a bit complicated.

If anybody on this group is using Martec360's web store with Shipstation/Easypost I would be interested to know if it works properly and is stable.

I would seriously consider moving on to GreeneStep. It is very stable and utilizes tools like ShipStation out of the box

I looked at GS a few years ago. Their web store was very weak and did not support SM and Google sales integration.

I am wondering if there is a SQL db switch that would cause this problem. It is very odd that the issue only impacts the back end GUI and not the web store.

I don’t know of any switch in that version that would cause that. Maybe something isn’t being passed from the e-commerce system to Everest
