Good Afternoon, Folks!

It's a Monday, and as the days hopefully start cooling down (what's up
with that heat and humidity??) it's time to look a little ahead and
see what's coming up this week and the next little while.

Yes, I know, many of you are recovering from BIG DAY(S) OUT it's
coming up to the time when we all have to spend lots of money to take
advantage of seeing more and more bands who are coming out. Well, you
have AESTHETIC PERFECTION (this week), SPANDAU BALLET, GEORGE MICHAEL,
TEARS FOR FEARS, HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS, GENITORTURERS, WEDNESDAY 13,
just to name a few. Also, it's the last week of the SYDNEY FESTIVAL,
and it has been jam-packed with events and things to do - but don't
worry, that's not all. After all next week is the one week you have
off before THE MARDI GRAS FESTIVAL takes flight for another year :)
The fun never stops in the city, I swear.

Most of the bands I listed above are returns (which speaks well of our
economy I guess), and speaking of returns, I mentioned on Friday that
Rocky Horror was returning. Well it's true. March 5th sees the return
of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW to THE CHAUVEL cinema in paddington.
Now this is just like the show you remember from the old Hoyts/GU days
at George Street, but it's a swankier digs. Yes we have the film, yes
we have the Pre-show and the Live 'Shadow-cast'. It'll be a ball of
fun - and the dress-code for this Uber-Produced Official Mardi Gras
Event (yes, you read that correctly... Official Mardi Gras Event) is
Fetish :D It'll be Rocky Horror with the audience giving it a GLBT-
Fetish-twist. Tickets on sale now :)

It's also nice to see such a great lineup at THE MOONLIGHT CINEMA this
year, not to mention BONDI OPEN AIR CINEMA, and ST GEORGE OPEN AIR
CINEMA AS WELL. Of course the people at Sydney Screening are once
again going to try and see all the Oscar-Nominated films in a month
(from the time they are announced on Feb 5th, to the evening before
the Academy Awards. Good luck! :)

Oh yes - while I remember, CULT SINEMA this wek is at THE MU-MESON
ARCHIVES due to the Annandale Hotel Screening the Hottest 100.

OK, I think that's my lot. A bit of a short-ish intro this week. So,
