Good Afternoon, Folks!
Again, email=epic fail, so it's a Friday list as opposed to a Thursday
list ;) Note: I have left some Thursday items on the list, because
they started yesterday.
It's the January return of HELLFIRE tonight... so pop on along and say
an early Happy Birthday to Master Tom (his is tomorrow night) :) This
weekend also sees the first night (with a lot of competition mind you)
for ALT.SAT.FORBES: NIGHT CREATURES. Pop on in and see what it's like.
Also, remember that this weekend sees the culmination of FLICKERFEST
2009 - it's been a great run and some really excellent short films
this year as well :)
Also, we are coming to the end of the 2nd week of the SYDNEY FESTIVAL
with all of the free things really hitting their stride. You know, the
nice thing about the Sydney Festival (these days) is the amount of
things for the public, not just for the art-elite. Saying that, This
week are a number of free events (not as big as last Saturday's Mega-
Dance-Party in the CBD - that was insanely good!). Free movies with
live soubdtracks at Darling Harbour, The Gypsy Kings joining the JAZZ
IN THE DOMAIN set, many more paid events such as theatre, THE
SPIEGLETENT, music arts and displays all over the city from Parramatta
through to the CBD. It's all good. Actually it's so good, I should
just let the list speak for itself this week.
See? Just a very short intro this weekend. So, let's just get on with
the process of putting this list out :)
