Unable to load the EventMachine C extension

Hi,

I am getting the following error when I start dashing:

"Unable to load the EventMachine C extension; To use the pure-ruby reactor, require 'em/pure_ruby'"

I have installed ruby1.9 and eventmachine 1.0.7.

For security reasons, we do not have the following packages installed on our systems:
gcc
gcc-c++

I therefore installed eventmachine on a local VM and then packaged this up and placed on the host in its appropriate places - when you do a gem list, eventmachine is listed!

Does EventMachine need the above packages at runtime? or is this a different error?
