Does anyone have information on if the Organizations structure is available for non-music accounts? And when the change to using organizations will become mandatory? Previously in the API documents there was a note about the change in account structure to move toward organizations, in API v3, but stated that this was only available for Eventbrite Music. Now, it looks like the API documents have ben updated but there is no mention of if this change being implemented everywhere vs. music only. I cannot even find a change log :(

Hi Nora,

There haven't been any changes made here yet. We don't have a set timeline yet for the migration of the new organizations structure. We will be sure to make an announcement when we are ready to roll organizations out across the entire product.

I hope this helps.

Thanks! Where is the best place to look for that announcement? The Eventbrite Twitter doesn't look super active. I've set up notifications here, but if you any other spots, please let me know. Thanks again!

We are working on the implementation of a new developer newsletter. I am happy to add you to the email list if you would like.

All the best!

Hi Nathan!

Following up here to see if

1) there is an update on timing of Organizations structure for non-music accounts, particularly any dates around this being mandatory and/or the existing endpoints being deprecated.

2) the developer newsletter did get rolling, as I want to make sure I am on it.

Thanks!!
Nora

Thanks for reaching out. We don't have exact timing for the full transition or the Organizations structure yet but I have been told this will be happening within the next 6 months. At this time, we are fully supporting the Organizations model with several new endpoints as well as still supporting the legacy user owned event model. For now, we recommend all new development is done with the Organizations model and new create endpoints and that you have a transition to the Organizations model on your product roadmap.

The developer newsletter is being replaced with un-scheduled operational emails to update our partners on updates, deprecations, and feature/functionality changes as necessary. You will be seeing the first one over the next several weeks which will introduce a number of upcoming improvements to our API.
