Summarize Problem:
we have been using EBCerts to generate certificates for event attendance, but we have now been refused access to EBCerts to continue generating these and we will have up to 6,000 certificates to create.

What have you already tried?
using  EBCerts

Mail Merge does not allow us to send attachments so this is not a viable option

Describe the expected results:
we would like to generate our certificates through Eventbrite registrations using EBCerts.

This is urgent and would really appreciate some support around how we can achieve this.

Hello!

We are in the same boat. Have you found any helpful articles/support?

Hi,
is there any news on the ebcerts front?

Have you found any solution that would allow sending certificates automatically? Even a well-formatted email would be good enough...

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out. EBCerts has been sunsetted and is no longer available. However, I did find a site that may offer what you need called Sertifier. Also, please note this forum is for API Developers. For support questions, it'd be best that you reach out to our Customer Support team: www.eventbrite.com/support/contact-us.

Best,
Donna

Hi,
I appreciate that this thread is two years old. Unfortunately excerpts were not resuscitated.

However, I found a solution that allows us to semi-automatically generate and email certificates to course/event participants,

What you need is a google account, an eventbrite account and a paid zapper.com account. Within Zapier you can connect eventbrite, google slides and gmail.
Firstly, you have to create a template for your certificate in Slides. This template includes placeholder fields in the form of  {{name}}, {{date}} etc.

When triggered (see below) Zapier pulls data (name, email, course name, course date) from eventbrite and fills a slide template in your google account.  It creates a new file in your google drive, you can automatically name this new file  eg "Certificate {{course name}} ({{Lastname, Firstname}})
In a second step, within the same zap, Zapier creates a new email in gmail which is addressed to the participant {{email}} and contains  the link to the pdf version of that new slide. In the text you can write something like

Dear {{first name}}
Please find the link to your certificate for {{courseName}} here:

A few more things:
You need to make sure that the folder in which the new files are saved is shared as public (everyone with the link...)
The date format that comes across from EB is a bit weird (YYYY-MM-DD TT;tt), I am not yet sure whether that can be changed
There are only four triggers available to start this automation. I use the 'A new user checked in" since we are not using this eb function otherwise.

All you need to do to send out certificates is to go into EB, find the course, go to manage attendees>check-in and tick those participants.

I hope this helps.
Happy to receive feedback here or via email
