General questions regarding to Eventbrite API

Dear community,

we are a group of 4 people planning to create an app for booking customized leisure activities. We all live in Vienna and we are in the process of establishing a startup in July 2021.

First, we want to a short overview about our use case to make it easier to understand our questions. As I mentioned before we are planning to create an app for booking leisure activities. Our vision is to simplify the user experience by suggestion personalized activities. Due to our holistic concept, we are looking for a possibility to integrate the booking process directly in our app.

To provide content and booking capability we would like to utilize the Eventrbite API. After studying the Eventbrite API documentation, we have got some open questions and hopefully you can help us to answer them. At this point we already want to thank you for taking time and dealing with our request.

 

Questions:

1.       We are not sure if we understand the documentation right but is there a possibility to integrate the booking functionality directly into our app and not using the embedded widget?

2.       On the App Marketplace Partner Program (https://www.eventbrite.com/l/partner-program/) we found a brief overview of the different partnerships. We did not find detailed information and therefore we want to ask you for more information about the requirements and capabilities of the different partnerships.

3.       Is there a possibility to reserve either one or multiple bookings in their shopping cart?

Thanks for reaching out and for your patience in us getting back to you. It's great to learn about your interest in integrating with Eventbrite for your upcoming app!

Answers to your questions are below:

1. We do not offer payment processing and registration via our API at this time. It is best to leverage the Embedded Checkout feature, which you can find more information about here, or you can redirect listings to Eventbrite event pages.
2. The requirements are listed under the partner tiers (Getting Started, Registered Partner, and Premier Partner) on the App Marketplace Partner Program page. The App Approval Process is documented here!
3. This depends on the setup of the bookings. An attendee can definitely cart multiple tickets for one event, however, there is no option currently to cart tickets for multiple events at once.
