Dear Eventbrite,

1) On v3/organizers, I can see "num_past_events" and "num_future_events".

I spot checked several organizers' pages and both these fields always listed 0.

However, whenever I used the "url" (the one directly about "num_past_events" & "num_future_events", it took me to that organizer's Eventbrite profile, and always listed several "LIVE EVENTS" and "PAST EVENTS" (which also show up on the Organizer information box in any specific event and appear as "upcoming events on Eventbrite" and "past events on Eventbrite".

I'd like to know, how can I get the accurate numbers for the organizer's number of upcoming events and past events on Eventbrite?

2) Is there any way to view any of the following: organizer's phone number, email address, contact person's name?

3) Regarding the affiliate program:
  1. Is there a way to have an automatic affiliate link to see how many people were sent through by us that successfully RSVP'd / purchased a ticket to an event?
  2. To get an affiliate link, must it be a unique form per each specific event an organizer has? Or can it be an overall one for all of the organizer's upcoming events?
  3. Is it possible to be assigned an affiliate link for free events? (Not to get paid any affiliate fees, but to see how many were successfully sent over who RSVP'd?
  4. Regarding affiliate payments, I know Eventbrite tracks and shows both the affiliate and organizer how many successful transactions there were and the  affiliate payment terms. Does Eventbrite separate out that affiliate amount for the affiliate? Or must the affiliate invoice the organizer directy?

Thank you!

Hi Elsa,

I'm taking a look into why the response you are seeing in the API response is inconsistent with what you are seeing in the web UI. I will be in contact again when I have more information regarding the issue.

We do not provide an organizer's phone number, email address, or contact person's information via the API or the web UI.

Regarding affiliate links:
Affiliate links cannot be automated. They must be created by an organizer on the web UI and then shared by that organizer. The organizer can choose to share the affiliate link in their event description. If you are sent an affiliate link or find one in an event description, the organizer of the event will be able to see which ticket sales came through the link but not necessarily which website. Organizers often create a unique affiliate link for each individual group that they share with.

Affiliate links are specific to individual events.

Affiliate links may be used for free events.

The organizer of the event is responsible for paying their promoters. Eventbrite provides the organizers with a statement of how much they owe each of their promoters and it is the responsibility of the organizer to issue that payment.

Hi Malina,

Just wanted to follow up and see if you an update regarding the inconsistency on the v3/organizers "num_past_events" and "num_future_events" from the API to the Web UI.
Though when I just checked, I no longer see these two fields on the v3/organizers API at all. Have they been removed or placed elsewhere or perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place? Are they going to be able to come back?

Thank you!

-Elsa

Hi Elsa,

Th functionality of counting events is something that we had phased out in the past. We made a mistake and did not remove the fields from the API response. This is why you were seeing inconsistent results on those fields. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. We have since removed those fields from the response object as well as the underlying functionality that was producing the unreliable results. I apologize for the inconvenience that you encountered because of this oversight on our part.

Best,
Malina
