embedded checkout with discount coupon applied?

I want to add checkout with a button that overlays a modal window on the page.

Can I add default discount/promote code to that window?

Hello!

It is not possible to have a promo code added by default in the Embedded Checkout. 

You can, however, access a promo code's Share code URL to get a sharable link that automatically applies your code during checkout. To access this link, click the three dots next to the promo code, then click Share code URL.
