Evenbrite Salesforce sync discontinued?

Hi Everyone,

I was syncing Eventbrite and Salesforce using the EventbriteSync that Eventbrite had created. Does anyone know if it is still active or has it been discontinued?

Around this time last week, I noticed that records were not syncing over. When I checked the logs, I was getting a 404 error because I did not have a valid auth token. I was working with a consultant to get that token applied to the sync. However, the consultant was saying that it was not possible because it needed to be done on by Eventbrite and he said that the sync was discontinued.

I was not able to find the app on the Salesforce app store which leads me to believe that it has in fact been discontinued. I spoke with Eventbrite support and they said that they do not answer anything related to the sync or any API work and directed me here. I never got any communication saying that the sync would be discontinued so I don't have a back up plan at the moment.

If the Eventbrite -> Salesforce sync is down, would anyone be kind enough to point me to some articles about setting up a native API? Even general stuff would be good. My organization doesn't have any formal coders and the Salesforce admin, it would be on me to try to create some sort of temporary connection..

Hi Jacob, the EBsync app is still active and the most recent version does support our new Organizations model. If you are experiencing issues with 404 errors, you likely need to update to the newest version.

We are currently in the midst of a beta release for a brand new, first class Salesforce integration which will be launching in August. You may find that to be a more effective solution than the EBsync app and less effort than developing your own custom integration.

Thank you so much for that information!

I am unable to update my EBsync app. It is part of a managed package from Eventbrite and I never got a link or instructions on how to update the package. (According to this Salesforce article, the link has to be sent by the publisher: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=distribution_upgrading_packages.htm&type=5). I can no longer find the app listed in the App Exchenage so I can not force update or re-download the app package.

Would you be able to point me in the direction of how to update to the latest version? I currently have version 2.1.2 and I believe I saw documentation for version 3.

Also I am interested in learning more about the new Salesforce integration. How can I find out more information about that?

If I need to, I will build out my own API, but would prefer to exhaust the other options first as it will cause less disruption within my organization.

Hi Houston,

Our team is also experiencing the same issues. We noticed that recent events are not being synced to our Sales Cloud environment. Similar to Jacob, I searched on Salesforce Appexchange and also did not find the EBsync app available anymore. our EBsync is version 2.3.18

Thanks Houston, in the same boat with an organization I'm supporting and looking forward to the newest version of the package. As a Salesforce QA for integration, I'd also love to beta test it!

Does Eventbrite have reports available?   How to access the report function on their site?  For audit purposes, I need to know the total donation minus the fee for each transactions.

Thank you for your response. Can you share specific documentation showing that Eventbrite <> Salesforce integration is authenticated using OAuth 2.0. as well as proof that that Is there encrypting in transit when data flows back and forth to Salesforce from Eventbrite?
