Hi,
I'm trying to create a conditional question in Eventbrite. When I tried to post a question through my browser: I saw this field:
question.parent_choice_id
ID of Parent Question (for subquestions)
I tried entering the id of the parent question, the id of one of its answers, and then random text, and nothing seemed to process, even as an error. The request would go through ignoring whatever was in that field.
I tried recreating a conditional question to see if I was missing something, and made a GET request. I saw the field parent_id instead of parent_choice_id and assumed that was what I was looking for.
I tried making a revised POST request through Python and received the following error:
{'status_code': 400, 'error_description': 'There are errors with your arguments: question.parent_id - Unknown parameter', 'error': 'ARGUMENTS_ERROR'}
I don't know why this is happening, and any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Sunil

Having the same problem. Is sub-question functionality working yet within the API?

Hi Sunil,
Thanks for reporting this. We found a bug because of you bringing it to our attention. This isn't working because you need to send both the parent_id and parent_choice_id but the bug we found is preventing you from being able to send both parameters. I have a fix in for it and it should hit production in the next week or so. I'll post again here once the fix is out.
Thanks again from bringing this issue to light.
Best,
Malina

Hi Malina,
Any Update on this? Can you confirm that we are able to post conditional sub questions through the API?

Hi Chuck,
We published the fix last week. Are you still experiencing issues using that endpoint?
