If I do a custom view for one year, the entries are well organized by date.  However if I do a custom view for more than one year, say "c w -b 2018-01-01 -e 2019-12-31 -c northern -o a" they are not organized by date.  Rather some entries of this year show after entries for next year.  Any way I can fix this?

Try grouping by year and then week, i.e., “c yyyy; w . . .”. Without the year, you get the week 1’s from all years, then the week 2’s and so forth since it is sorting by week number.

I tried

c yyyy, ww, dd -b 2018-01-01 -e 2019-12-31 -c client_no -o a

in the GUI but that didn't seem to help.

That’s a semicolon between the yyyy and the w: “yyyy; w”.

Yeah! Silly me. This kind of power really simplifies file review meetings.

This next question deals with formatting of output for

c yyyy; w; dd -b 2018-01-01 -e 2019-12-31 -c client -o a

It produces:

\/ 2018
      \/ week 37: Sep 10-16
           \/ 10                                                                       9a
\/ hearing on petition requesting ouster

Hope this formats correctly when I send it.

Question:  It refers to an event Sept. 10 at 9 am.  Anyway I can get it to add the day of the week before "10", i.e. "\/ Monday 10" ?

No big deal.  Or perhaps it could show a calendar so I could see what day of the week is Sept. 10?

Yes, “yyyy; w; ddd dd …”

This will give you Mon 10. If you want Monday 10, replace the ddd with dddd.
