Seb,
So, I have not seen recent posts from you, and it would appear others are having the same issue I'm having.  I can no longer attach an event flair icon to any events.  This symptom is similar to what has happened periodically for years, though mainly when it was a GLabs effort.

I'm running FF 38.0.1.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Jerry

Hi

Sorry I'm quiet these days, very busy...
I just tried with my own calendar, and it works. I can also tell you it works for most people according to Calendar API usage. So what I'm guessing is there's something wrong with your browser, maybe it got updated and now it deactivate some features, or maybe you installed a plugin which blocks javascript for instance. It happened to some of you before.

HTH
Cheers

No need to apologize at all.  I get this isn't your main thing in life.  I'm grateful that you picked it up and ran with it when the GLabs version was left dormant.  I was worried that you were needing to leave it behind as well, so I'm glad to read that's not the case.

I checked my JS settings, and they are set to true in the confg.  I control the updating of my FF, and haven't done so in awhile, so that's not it.  Next chance I get to restart browser, I'll do so (lots of tabs open, and sometimes restarting FF is tricky, otherwise I would have already done that).

Cheers,
Jerry

So I think I have the solution:

Search for google account permissions, then look for event flairs permission. Remove and then reinstall the event flair app, it will re-authorize and hopefully fix your issue.

Seb,
I rebooted my laptop and still see this issue.  I have a problem running other browsers (in my case, this could only be chrome) because this is a RHEL laptop and I don't run IE or it's newer versions, whatever they're called these days.  I'll try to load chrome, but I don't think that's it.  I was running the same FF for months and this suddenly stopped working.

Grant's suggestion elsewhere in thread seems promising, so I'll give that a go.

Cheers,
Jerry

Grant,
Many thanks.  That did work.  The key is to get rid of the event flairs permission, as you said.  Simply reinstalling the app doesn't do it.  Not sure about why, but I can verify your suggestion worked for me.

Thanks,
Jerry

Help! I removed the event flairs permission in Google account permissions, removed & reinstalled the event flair app...still no ability to add flairs to new calendar events (though the already created events with flairs continue to show their flairs). I'm seeing that the fix was back in 2015...got a 2017 suggestion since the 2015 solution didn't fix my issue with using event flairs? (Chrome is my browser of choice, W10 OS.)

Same for me

Stopped letting me add flairs to any event, even if I uninstall / reinstall and revoke and re-grant permissions :(
