I'm seeing this note when I add the gadget!

Warning: Calendar sidebar gadgets are now deprecated and will soon cease to be supported.

Are we going to lose our wonderful event flairs?

yes, it's possible, have a look at another thread there, people have already reported that. I've tried to find another solution, or see what would be the replacement, but google remains quiet...

They're already gone. Even if I click "install gadget" on that message, it doesn't install it. It also doesn't install the Google Lab that I had enabled :(

I'm having the same issue. Do we have any solution yet?

Are they still working with the brand new Google calendar update that I just received in the last 24 hours? Neither the new nor the old calendar will allow me to download the flairs from your site, giving me warnings that the calendar site is temporarily down.

I think I don't the "new" calendar, but flairs are still working, though I have the warning mentioning gadgets will be gone soon.
How does the new calendar look like ?

Sorry for the confusion...I am still using the old calendar.  Yes with new calendar, there is no labs available for side bar and flairs not visible etc.

Only big deal I see is that you can view many calendars side-by-side in day view. There are a few little things, options, that I saw in passing, but that was the most significant:

Inline image 2

& it gives the user the option to go back to the regular view (which I, personally, prefer).

Is there a repository for this? I'd like to see if the API code can be converted to a greasemonkey script or something similar. I've been using this for years, it's not going Anywhere.
