Hello Marc

Currently, I am experiencing high memory usage with tac_plus. The memory utilization eventually reaches 100%, requiring a restart of the process. However, the issue reappears shortly after.  Captura de pantalla 2026-03-12 102837.pngCaptura de pantalla 2026-03-12 102911.png

Hi,

please make sure that you're on the latest version. If that doesn't work
out, please provide the -v output and a sanitized version of your config.

Also, please note that tac_plus support isn't exactly at the highest
priority level.

Cheers,

Marc

Hello Marc

this is the version:

m@svrtacacsldap-master:~$ tac_plus -v
tac_plus version 78238d2a4e56c13b3d8b9f51a0ccedddf9a49227/PCRE2/CRYPTO/ARES/CURL/SSL
m@svrtacacsldap-master:~$

Could you give me the steps to upgrade if it is necesary ?

Hi Marcos,

that version doesn't look so bad, and the source code doesn't see
frequent changes. However, there are some shared code portions that were
likely updated for tac_plus-ng, so please "git pull; ./configure
tac_plus ; make && sudo make install". This should update your local GIT
and install the current code.

If updating doesn't help I'd like to see some configuration details.
There's currently no indication on what could cause this memory issue.

Cheers,

Marc
